About HMI
The Henry Martyn Institute: International Centre for Research, Interfaith Relations and Reconciliation (HMI) is an ecumenical Christian organisation dedicated to the objective study and teaching of religions and the promotion of interfaith relations and reconciliation. Since its founding in 1930, HMI has established a long record of teaching and research, with an ever-widening circle of research scholars from both within India and abroad, who use the Institute’s facilities for Master’s, Doctoral and Post-Doctoral research.
With well-qualified faculty, an excellent library and other facilities, HMI has become a major centre for research and teaching on matters related to the study of major religions. HMI publishes books on interfaith-related issues and an academic journal (the Journal of the Henry Martyn Institute), to which scholars and experts contribute from across the world.
