Courses Offered
HMI’s academic courses are designed to encourage and assist scholars in building bridges of understanding between Christians, Muslims, Hindus and people of other faiths. This is reflected in the syllabi of the different courses offered at HMI as well as in other activities.

This program conducts qualifying examination for Master of Theology, Department of Religions.
M.A. in Theology
HMI offers MA Theology which is a Master’s program associated with Martin Luther Christian University recognised by the University Grant Commission.
M.A. in Social Work
HMI offers MA Theology which is a Master’s program associated with Martin Luther Christian University recognised by the University Grant Commission.
M.A. in Gender Studies
HMI offers MA Theology which is a Master’s program associated with Martin Luther Christian University recognised by the University Grant Commission.
M.A. in Peace Studies
HMI offers MA Theology which is a Master’s program associated with Martin Luther Christian University recognised by the University Grant Commission.
Master's Program (M.Th)
Henry Martyn Institute as a member of the federated program of Advanced Institute for Research on Religion and Culture (ARRC), Hyderabad, affiliated to the Senate of Serampore.
Doctoral Program (D.Th)
HMI as a member of the federated program of Advanced Institute for Research on Religion and Culture (ARRC), Hyderabad, affiliated to the Senate of Serampore College.
Language Programs
HMI offers Arabic, Persian and Urdu languages. Each course has approximately 60 hours of instruction at four levels: basic, elementary, intermediate, and advanced.

POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMS IN ISLAMIC STUDIES AND INTERFAITH RELATIONS
The Post-Graduate Diploma course is a nine-month program designed for those who seek a deeper knowledge of Islam and Interfaith Relations. This program is open to students from all religious and ideological backgrounds. It has the objective of preparing them for interaction within a multi-faith society. Students are not assumed to have any significant previous background in Islam. It also prepares pastors to engage meaningfully in the pastoral life of the church in the context of pluralistic society.

Admission information
MASTER OF ARTS IN THEOLOGY
HMI offers MA Theology which is a Master’s program associated with Martin Luther Christian University recognized by the University Grant Commission. This program covers the study of different faiths like Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Primal Religions. Applications are available for any Bachelors Degree (Both Secular and Theological) in spite of the universities. (No age limit).
